This is the story of Amelia and Ben and their modern romantic wedding at Lloyd Brothers, McLaren Vale.

How did everything start?

9 or something after sports day. Then started properly handing out in year 11 and from then on. We nearly ended up as partners in the year 11 ball, then we went to year 12 formal together and hung out heeps from then on untill Ben asked me out in March 2009 lol.

How about the engagement?

Ben suprised me! I thought we were staying at a caravan park in Renmark and did not expect it – I was at work in a meeting quite late and he was rushing me to get home and get organsied as ususal! I only realised something was up when we’d driven past the caravan park and Ben was trying to find the place without his GPS and we got a bit lost.

When we got there he was shaking unlocking the door – then I thought right he must finally be proposing! lol

On the Saturday we went on a gondola ride along the river and he waited right untill the end to ask. It was a lovely moment. I think I started planning the wedding the weekend after that!

What style/theme have you chosen for your Wedding Day?

Classic but modern and a little bit fancy

What excites you the most about your wedding day?

all of it the ceremony, dinner and dancing!

I think you deserve a lot more credit than what you give yourselves, you did work everything out; just look at the incredible day you put together and how stunning and elegant everything looked. Classic but modern and little bit fancy just like you intended to.
