This is sometimes how love works, you grow up in your country not knowing that kilometres and often oceans away, there is that one perfect person waiting for you.
Waiting to meet you, fall in love, picture a life together, learn from each other and one day nervously take you to an elegant hotel in another state and ask you to marry them.
Ngoc and Wade were planning on getting married in 2020 in Vietnam. This was Ngoc’s home and after visiting together, they decided it was the place where they were going to say I do. Time passed, life happened and the travel plans had to be put on hold. But their love, adoration, sense of family, and commitment were not.
A couple of weeks ago this incredible couple, got together with 19 of their closest family and friends at The Manor Basket Range in Adelaide and decided to get married. The dress had been shipped from Vietnam, Ngoc’s family was impatiently waiting on a video call, and wade was wearing his heart on his sleeve.
It was time, their ringbearer cat, Sable was ready to roll and Jacqui Leopardi was getting ready to fill the gardens with all the feels as she usually does when performing her breathtakingly emotional and warm ceremonies. I am not even the one getting married but every time, this woman talks, it feels as if she was your best friend. That’s her gift.
It was a perfect day, I am not writing this just to make it sound happy and like a fairy tale. It was the day that two people who truly love each other stood in front of one another and promised to be the best version of themselves. Promised to work together and build a life that they could be proud of. They promised to be husband and wife.
Wade, I remember when I first met you on the phone; you were planning your wedding in a very short amount of time, you mentioned that your mum had some health constraints and it was a priority to make this day possible within a few days. I am so thankful for that call. For allowing me to be part of such a crucial day in you, Kgoc’s, and your family’s life. I got to create these images, to witness your love. Now I get to keep a part of your day in my memory and my heart and for me, that is the greatest gift in life.
Thank you for reading, all the suppliers who made this day possible are listed at the bottom of this post
