What a perfect day we had yesterday at Gomersal Wines in the Barossa Valley. Nothing could have prepared us for the wonderful wedding day we all had.
Starting the morning with Kaitlin’s side of the wedding party, we got to hang out, eat lots of pastries and fruit with a few cheeky glasses of wine in between. We gave buddy (their dog) plenty of cuddles and the rest of the time we spent it trying to explain to him why he was not allowed inside while he barked at us with his big puppy eyes. This woman is the epitome of kindness and effortless elegance. She chose the most incredible hand-beaded gown from Jenny & Gerry’s and a bold colorful pair of heels from Christian Louboutin and once Jess Bailey completed the finishing touches with her delicate makeup we had some very chic portraits done with her friend and father. Apparently usually getting Guiuilo to smile in a photograph it’s a major task but we gladly managed to get the perfect photographs of the two of them.
Then we went to spend some time with Dylan and his crew; he got a fresh shave on his head and got dressed on a beautiful Burgundy velvet Jacket by Kingsman Bespoke Tailor but this was not all, he also decided to wear his incredible Jordans with special shoelaces for the wedding. Every detail was Planned.
They had a precious ceremony at Gomersal Wines under the Arbour, in front of a wooden moon special handcrafted by Dylan for her Kaitlin. She kept saying “He made me a moon!”.
Afterwards, we created some portraits with their wedding party around the property and did a later session just with the two of them on the incredible Vines across the road. It was close to sunset so that gave us the perfect scenery to not only photograph them in a gorgeous light but to allow them to spend some intimate time enjoying the company of each other before heading off to celebrate with their loved ones.
We went back to the venue, had an absolute feast by Owen Andrews Catering (By the way thank you for the delicious food you cooked for me and my 10 invisible friends it was so good and so much!, I am very grateful), followed by a very entertaining and slightly in disagreement shoe game and we all danced the night away.
Kaitlyn and Dylan, just like all your friends and family were commenting yesterday, you were made for each other. You complement one another and I think that if the bride’s sister claims the groom as her best friend during her speech, we are off to a fantastic life together.
Thank you to the two, your loved ones, and the always impeccable team at Gomersal Wines for inviting me to be part of the very special day.
Much love,
Valentina
